Green areas surround the area. Along Mälaren and Mälarstranden, there is a beach promenade that stretches through the Sätraskogen nature reserve from Liljeholmen to Vårberg. Here you have a view over Mälaren towards Ekerölandet. Along the promenade, there are two popular beaches, Mälarhöjdsbadet and Sätrastrandsbadet.

The Gömmaren nature reserve between central Huddinge and Kungens Kurva is well-visited and offers hiking, fishing, and horse riding.
